Please Note:

  • Minimum five (5) individuals required to proceed with scheduled workshops.

  • If you are interested in registering, you will be asked to complete a one-page form to learn more about your business.

  • If a workshop/event is cancelled or rescheduled, details will be emailed to all registered individuals, posted here and on our social media.

JULY

1 | The Confidence Collective

The Confidence Collective is a 4-week program for individuals to build their self-confidence and self-esteem by blending their personality, skill sets and confidence style together.

This program brings together a small group of like-minded individuals to provide motivation, engagement and support combined with working one-on-one with a dedicated coach AND working independently to grow and develop each participants’s own confidence style.

Throughout the duration of the program, participants will work on practical activities to identify current strengths and work on skills to improve their confidence level. Sample discussion topics/activities include self-doubt, public speaking, importance and value of organization, as well as body language.

  1. Believe in yourself.

  2. Begin the process to improve your confidence.

  3. Become the confident person you want to be.

Session Details:

  • This program will start the week of July 1st

  • Two groups available: Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 5-7pm or 6-8pm

  • 2 hour sessions

  • Maximum 5 members per group

AUGUST

1 | Evaluate:Elevate

Evaluate-to-Elevate is a 6-week program for existing business owners operating beyond the first year mark who are looking to grow and/or transition their business. Working with a dedicated business coach, each business owner will evaluate their current business operations including revenue and expenses, marketing initiatives, capacity, and sales projections with the intention to identify operational strengths and areas to elevate or grow each business.

Many businesses lose momentum at the 18 month to 2.5 year mark due to inactive marketing initiatives, improper pricing, and capacity challenges. This program will assist businesses in overcoming any of the above challenges, as well creating a plan to elevate their business to achieve new goals by laying out clear measurables, actions, and expected return.

Session Details:

  • 1 hour weekly sessions with business coach starting week of August 12th

  • Biweekly group meet-ups; Mondays - August 12th, 26th, and September 9th; 5-7pm

  • Connect and network with other like-minded, ambitious individuals

  • Maximum 5 participants

SEPTEMBER

1 | Hustle: Start-up Accelerator Program

Starting a business and being your own boss is an amazing experience and life choice! When you decide to become an entrepreneur, there are many steps and processes to complete to ensure that you start properly, research thoroughly, price appropriately, and operate legally. Many of these resources and services can be found online or at your local business centre - for free - but sometimes the internet is too saturated with information and other services are not always readily available.

The Hustle program will address the most important start-up topics with specific activities for you to complete in an order that makes sense, enables and empowers you to make decisions about starting and operating your business, sets up clear and measurable goals, as well as creates a realistic action plan for the remainder of 2019. Sample topics include researching market demand, customer demographics and target market, cost and pricing, cash flow projections, and marketing strategies.

Additionally, you will work with a dedicated business coach to guide you through the start-up process and ensure that your specific industry regulations are discussed and initiated/met.

As an add-on, this program will help you work towards completing a first draft of a business/action plan.

2 | Pricing and Quoting Workshop

Many new AND existing business owners struggle with pricing!

How do I choose my pricing? How do I stay competitive? Do I start with lower prices to enter the market?

This workshop will discuss tactics for identifying appropriate pricing in your market/industry, when and how to change pricing models, popular pricing assumptions and errors such as undervaluing, as well as how to compete in an existing market.

We will also discuss quoting and negotiating tips!

1 | Planning for 2020 - Plan & Create

  • Starting and running a business can be challenging! One of the hardest steps to learn and continuously implement is being accountable to grow your business.

  • This session is the first of three that will focus on teaching you how to create achievable and realistic goals. Many business owners and individuals think that they know how to set goals, complete tasks, identify timelines, etc. to grow and sustain their business. But do you? Intentions are great. Actions make money!

  • We will discuss different organizational strategies with a focus on personal strengths, personality and capacity.

  • In addition to identifying goals, we will discuss how to create a plan and outline priority tasks to reach your goals.

  • The goal of these sessions is to help YOU identify YOUR goal setting strategy, understand how to create achievable and realistic goals, implement a plan and tasks to reach your outlined goals, as well as identify a goal-setting system to use weekly, monthly and through the duration of 2019. Be organized! Be ambitious! Your future self will thank you!!

1 | Planning for 2020 - Do & Review

  • This session is the second of three that will review intention vs. action, specifically focusing on the goals created during the first session. We will review and reflect on the tasks and goals you completed successfully, any challenges you encountered when completing tasks/goals during the month, and reassess a new plan of action to improve your goal achievement success.

  • For individuals who are unable to attend the first session - no worries! When you register for the second and/or third session(s), an email will be sent to you with a few exercises to complete prior to attending the session(s). Additionally, bring existing goals and tasks that you are currently working on OR striving to achieve.

  • This session will start to strengthen your goal setting process by identifying your priorities, capacity and reality.

  • Additionally, we will update/create a plan and outline priority tasks to reach new weekly and/or monthly goals.

  • The goal of these sessions is to help YOU identify YOUR goal setting strategy, understand how to create achievable and realistic goals, implement a plan and tasks to reach your outlined goals, as well as identify a goal-setting system to use weekly, monthly and through the duration of 2019.   • For individuals who are interested in attending this session but unable to attend the first or second sessions, an email will be sent to you once registered with a few exercises to complete prior to attending the session(s). As mentioned above, you are encouraged to bring existing goals and tasks that you are currently working on OR striving to achieve.

  • This session will identify and clarify your strengths when goal setting, as well as areas you will continue to improve upon.

2 | Bookkeeping 101 Workshop

It’s the end of the year and time to be proactive when organizing your invoices, receipts, and bank statements. This will help you be prepared when filing your income tax and/or HST remittance, whether filing independently or working with a bookkeeper or accountant.

For some individuals, this task can be daunting and confusing, especially when tackling the basics of filing including deadlines, forms, expectations, etc. - it can be a lot for any new, self-employed individual.

Bookkeeping and accounting are BIG topics, so the goal of this workshop is to help you understand the basics of bookkeeping, how to get yourself organized to file, understand what you can file, and learn how a professional bookkeeper and/or accountant can assist you with organizing and remitting tax documents to Canada Revenue.

Additionally, we will discuss organizational strategies for keeping your business documents organized now and throughout the year, proper invoicing and receipt processes, and popular apps and software to use.
